Love is like a cloak that we should wear ourselves everyday. – Flaring Felicity

We often search for warmth in others—
a smile,
a like on our latest post,
a hand reaching for ours after a tiring day.

These small gestures soothe us.
They ease the quiet cold that lingers after long hours of routine, boredom, or emotional distance.

But sometimes, the warmth we hope for doesn’t arrive.
The reply doesn’t come.
The message is left unseen.
The hand we reach for stays still.

Disappointment creeps in—sometimes from a neighbor, sometimes from someone closer:
a colleague, a family member, a friend… or a beloved.

Still—
love anyway.

Say hello to your neighbor.
Send your sibling a voice message.
Strike up a light conversation during lunch.
Leave a kind comment.
Hold your partner’s hand—without waiting for them to do it first.

Do these not to get,
but to give.
Because that’s how real connection grows.

Not by waiting.
But by warming others first.

That’s how friendship begins.
That’s how companionship deepens.
That’s how love becomes real.
