Cold yet sultry nights,
Struggling to sleep.
Champagne soothes a parched throat,
Weary from my crying.
But when I lie down, I sink again,
Engulfed in neck-deep longing.
Your caress still lulls me to slumber,
Sending chills whenever I remember.
For we now live in different worlds —
What I call day,
You call night.
