Collection: “Imagine A World Without Flowers”
Artist: Welbart Slowhands

Taken during Art Fair Philippines 2026

They stand
with bouquets in their hands
as if holding
something fragile
and understood.

White petals.
Soft stems.
Words circling their thoughts
like invisible pollen.

I have been asked before —
why flowers?

As if beauty must justify itself.
As if tenderness needs a receipt.

But flowers speak.

They arrive
when grief is heavy.
They bloom
when love is young.
They rest
on tables of apology,
celebration,
remembrance.

A bouquet is not excess.
It is attention.

It says,
“I thought of you
in a language
that does not argue.”

Imagine a world without flowers.

What would we hold
when our hands
need to say
what our mouths cannot?

If this reflection resonated with you, this was only one of the many works that stayed with me during Art Fair Philippines 2026. The fair felt less like an exhibit and more like a creative homecoming — a reminder of why art continues to matter.
